Milestones Pediatric Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 2025 with a singular mission: to expand access to life-changing therapeutic interventions for children with physical and developmental disabilities. Through financial assistance, education, advocacy, and collaboration with healthcare professionals, the Foundation works to ensure that every child—regardless of financial circumstance—has the opportunity to reach their developmental milestones and thrive.

The Foundation was established by Dr. Vera Malushi, PT, DPT, PCS, a board-certified pediatric physical therapist who has witnessed firsthand the profound impact that intensive therapy models and specialized equipment can have on a child’s development. Dr. Malushi recognized the critical role neuroplasticity plays in early childhood and the limited window of opportunity to influence brain development during the earliest years of life. Too often, financial barriers prevent families from accessing the intensity of care their children need during this pivotal period.

Milestones Pediatric Foundation is committed to changing that reality. The organization aims to provide every child with a disability the opportunity to participate in at least one intensive physical or occupational therapy program before the age of three—regardless of financial ability. By investing early, the Foundation strives to create meaningful, lasting outcomes that empower children and families for a lifetime.
